Cardiovascular workouts will only leave you with a firm, toned body if combined with weight training. Gym cardiovascular training i.e. non professional athletic training, will burn off the fat but leave you with loose skin all over your body. However, correct weight training will burn off the fat and will also build up some substance i.e. muscle under the skin to keep it firm and taut to complete the look.
Through weight training exercise you will also gain muscular strength and fitness, better posture, stronger bones and joints thus reducing the risk of osteoporosis (bone decay) and arthritis as the muscle around certain joints becomes stronger relieving the stress on the overall joint.
