Health Check
I always conduct a health check with my clients at the start of their training and at regular intervals throughout their programmes. The data collected from these checks will help you and me both to observe a reduction in body fat. This will consist of taking photographs of your front, sides and back before you start your programme. I will take photographs every three months so that we can draw comparisons and observe the reduction of body fat, the increase of muscle mass and the correction of posture. I can print these out and give them to you to put on your fridge to act as a reminder of the past and your goals, helping to stop you giving into temptation! Photographs are a powerful tool to help motivate as people will see them and give you positive comments. You will not notice the changes on your body as you see your body all the time. It is not until you see an old photograph of yourself when you start to see the dramatic positive changes.
I also will take measurements at the beginning of your right arm, leg, chest, waist and hip. Also I will find the widest point around your middle as it is here where you will see the most dramatic reductions. Again, measurements will be taken at regular intervals throughout your programme and will really help to motivate you when you see them shrink!
Clothes size reduction is another indicator for a loss of body fat so these are recorded also.
Body weight is recorded at the start but, like I said before, this will not be a predominant feature of our checks. I can calculate your BMI but again, this will not enter into our primary checks.
I know you may feel uncomfortable having your photographs and measurements taken but I guarantee it will be worth it. This is because when you have them taken for a second time you will have something to compare the new photographs and measurements with and you will be able to see dramatic changes as a result. Trust me at this stage you will be very glad that you let me take the photographs and measurements the first time around! (See before and after photos)
I will measure data throughout your programmes to help motivate you and to calculate targets and set goals.
